VIRANEL

Welcome to Viranel, and to the Saint-Chinian terroir, in the heart of Languedoc.

Here, in the south of France, the Bergasse family vineyard is made up of 98 acres of sustainably farmed land  that has been in the family since 1551 - nearly five centuries.

The vineyards are situated on the limestone hills and ancient terraces overlooking the Vallée de l`Orb. Here the hot Mediterranean climate is tempered by the north wind - the Tramontane - from the mountains of the Cévennes. Cool nights help Viranel`s grapes ripen gently.

Brothers Nicholas and Arnaud Bergasse are the driving force behind Viranel's modern era, and are proud to be continuing the work begun by their father before them.
